Crescent-shaped razor. The handle is formed by a round bar ending in a loop with two stylised duck’s heads. Well-known type, with finds made in Tarquinia, among other places. Slightly chipped at the ends and on the edge of the blade, which has been slightly filled in a few places for reinforcement.

Formerly, priv. coll. Albert Schenk, Germany, collecting period between 1950 and 1977. Inherited in 2001 by his daughter Gisela van Driesum-Schenck, Aschaffenburg, Germany and sold in the same year to Antiken-Kabinett, Gackstätter, Frankfurt. Thereafter, priv. coll. Klaus Jürgen Büchler (1923-2003), Baden-Baden, Germany; acquired in 2001 from Gackstätter. Since then in the family. Thereafter, German art market.
