Blade made of flint that is bent along the cutting edge. Knapped on both sides, edges retouched. Haft was made of organic material and attached. Cf. e.g. the decorative knife from Gebel el-Arak (now in the Louvre) whose ivory haft decorated with figures has been preserved. Reassembled from two fragments.

Alfred Reinhart (b. 1873 in Switzerland - d. 1935 in Switzerland), Alexandria since 1896; inherited by Carl Leonhard Burckhardt (b. 1902 in Basel - d. 1965 in Alexandria) and Marianne Burckhardt-Reinhart (b. 1905 - d. 1981), Egypt, until 1966, then in Switzerland. Thereafter by descent to Rosmarin Cereghetti-Burckhardt (b. 1929 in Alexandria - d. 2022 in Basel). By descent in the family, Switzerland.
