Vessel for preserving precious liquids such as perfume or oils with squat, round body whose reserved upper face is decorated with a concentric frieze of alternating black and red tongues, framed by finely drawn lines and dot friezes. The distinctive lip is turned inwards to prevent spillage. Tall, hollow foot, offset from the body by a narrow ridge and flared like a funnel towards the bottom. Reassembled out of large fragments. Foot misfired in places. Type A after Beazley.
